The Arrington Ranch is a working cow calf operation located 1 hour and 45 minutes northeast of Amarillo on HWY 60. Just recently the Lodge was used as one of the locations for the Tom Hanks movie "Cast Away".

The area is filled with historical sites. A small town, Miami is located 12 miles west of the Lodge has a museum filled with local history and artifacts. There is a mammoth tusk there that was found on the Arrington Ranch by George Arrington.
